TrygVesta

TrygVesta is the second largest supplier on the Nordic market for general insurance. In Norway TrygVesta Insurance is the third largest general insurance company with a market share of approximately 18%.

TrygVesta consists of Tryg, Denmark's largest general insurance company, TrygVesta, the third largest in Norway, TrygVesta Garanti (formerly Dansk Kaution) (Denmark), Enter (Norway), Vesta (Sweden) and Moderna (Sweden). The Group also has a rapidly growing branch office in Finland. TrygVesta's insurance products provide protection for more than two million private individuals and the Group employs a total of 4,000 people.

TrygVesta has a strategic partnership with Nordea. The bank sells the Group's insurance products through their branch offices in Denmark, Norway and Finland, while TrygVesta sells Nordea's pension products.

The name Tryg means safety, whilst Vesta was the Roman goddess for the home fireplace, thus protecting the home and family. You may still find people referring to Vesta Hygea – Hygea being a sister life insurance company that through a merger in 1990 became the Vital insurance company.
